About Me

I have a wealth of experience in all aspects of film production in particular OPC camera, casting, directing and field producing for television. I have been recently working on the high rating TV Emergency reality TV series ‘Life Flight’, filming for Ironman Taupo as well as making an independent feature length documentary, (when time permits!). Last year I was on the other side of the production team working with the Channel 7 Australian Production team on ‘The Amazing Race’ Australia/NZ 2014 casting for NZ teams. This has been a great experience to be part of as it’s such a successful ‘reality’ formula.

I have worked on many television shows including four years as Field Producer for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (everyone I filmed was in the final!!) and worked on the Qantas award winning ‘Best Informative Show’ ‘Pepi’ for Maori Television.

An achievement that encapsulates my capabilities from all aspects of filming was producing a full length documentary, from story concept, researching, raising funding through to carrying out all filming and final marketing and distribution completion. The documentary ‘Changing Gear’ has featured on SKY, film festivals around the world, sells privately on DVD and has been nominated for ‘Best NZ Feature’. This challenge gave me the insight and experience into all aspects film production that are strengths that I bring to projects.

It’s this ability to grasp the nuances of production responsibilities from casting through to field director/camera responsibilities such as that with ‘Dancing with the Stars’ that gives me that unique perspective. I’m a creative lateral thinker that has proven ability to establish a rapport with all types and to engage, motivate and manage the various stakeholders in a production, often to challenging deadlines.
